PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer sheet with which transfer-recording with high color development can be performed and back surface contamination is substantially prevented when a roll of the film is unwound and again wound into another roll in a process of manufacturing the sheet.SOLUTION: A thermal transfer sheet has one or sets of a plurality of thermal transferring ink layers 3Y and a plurality of thermal transferring protective layers 4, provided on one surface of a substrate sheet 1 in surface sequence in a longitudinal direction of the substrate sheet, and has a partition wall portion 5 which is formed of a resin provided on a thermal transferring ink layer or a non-printing portion in its peripheral part. When a thickness of the plurality of thermal transferring ink layers is represented by h1, and a thickness of the partition wall portion is represented by h2, h2-h1 is 0.5 μm or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
