PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a reduction in efficiency of toner forcible consumption due to provision of an interval between forcible consumption images that are formed arranged side by side, while avoiding the occurrence of damage to a second belt cleaning device and failure in cleaning of a nip forming belt caused by the occurrence of excessive overlapped parts of different toner images in the forcible consumption images.SOLUTION: In toner forcible consumption processing, control means is configured to form, as a parallel type forcible consumption image, a first direction parallel type forcible consumption image in which a first overlapped part 704 obtained by overlapping a Y forcible consumption toner image 703Y and an M forcible consumption toner image 703M, and a second overlapped part 705 obtained by overlapping a C forcible consumption toner image 703C and a K forcible consumption toner image 703K, are arranged with an interval in a first direction that is a direction orthogonal to a surface movement direction on the surface of an intermediate transfer belt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
