The present invention provides a stripe light source lighting apparatus for a three dimensional (3D) display, to form a series of stripe shaped light source patterns, so as to remove an optical plate in a parallax barrier type 3D display implementation technique, and thereby a structure is simplified and a 3D visual field is formed through a periodical arrangement of stripe light sources. To this end, the apparatus comprises: a light source unit to output the light of a predetermined wavelength in a stripe shape; a PhosPho unit installed on the light source unit, and being excited by the light outputted from the light source unit to convert a wavelength of the light; and a slit pattern unit installed on the PhosPho unit and having a slit to pass the light outputted from the light source unit. Accordingly, a series of stripe shaped patterns is formed to remove an unnecessary optical plate from a parallax barrier type, so a light source is directly implemented by a parallax barrier when implementing a 3D image. Moreover, a first slit structure is formed through arrangement of the light sources and a second slit structure is formed by using a mask and a slit, so refraction restriction by a dual slit is provided.
