PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an adverse effect on a joining part of a heat insulator even when an exhaust pipe is thermally expanded, in a heat insulator covering the exhaust pipe having a bent portion.SOLUTION: Two slits 41, 42 are formed on a bent coated portion 21b of a heat insulator 2. The slits 41, 42 are extended along a circumferential direction of an exhaust pipe 1. The slits 41, 42 are formed at a prescribed interval in an extending direction of the exhaust pipe 1 so as to form a slit intermediate plate portion 43 between the slits 41, 42. When the exhaust pipe 1 is thermally expanded, movement (movement following the thermal expansion of the exhaust pipe 1) of a horizontal coated portion 21c of the heat insulator 2 is permitted by deformation in an opening direction of the slits 41, 42 and torsional deformation of the slit intermediate plate portion 43, which prevents adverse effects on joining strength of a joining part of the heat insulator 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
