PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gradient estimation apparatus and a vehicle control device capable of highly accurately estimating gradient of an actual road by using gradient information of low density.SOLUTION: A gradient estimation apparatus comprises: link altitude difference acquisition means for acquiring link altitude difference information about an altitude difference at an exit side end point with respect to an entry side end point of a link where the apparatus is placed; altitude change acquisition means for acquiring altitude change information about an altitude change at an apparatus position where the apparatus is placed with respect to the entry side end point of the link; residual distance acquisition means for acquiring a residual distance from the apparatus position to the exit side end point of the link; and gradient estimation means for estimating gradient from the apparatus position to the exit side end point of the link on the basis of the link altitude difference information, the altitude change information and the residual distance. |
