PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web rewinding device and a method which can rewind and take up a web around a new winding core without generating split, chipping, and the like in a cutting line of the web.SOLUTION: A drum support arm 20 is set to a rewinding position, and a cutting drum 27 and a receiving drum 28 are rotated once. A web 6 is cut into a first web 6a and a second web 6b by a cutter 47 of the cutting drum 27. During cutting, the holding of the web 6 by the receiving drum 28 and a second winding core 7b is avoided by a notch 53 of the receiving drum 28. Even if there is thickening in diameter due to a manufacturing error of the winding core, tension is not acted when cutting the web 6, and split and chipping are not generated in a cutting line. After cutting, the tip of the second web 6b is held by the second winding core 7b and the receiving drum 28 and adhered to a double-sided adhesive tape piece 17 of the second winding core 7b. |
