PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display an operation screen of a display language understandable by a user if a manuscript language does not deal with the display language of the operation screen, when recognizing the manuscript language read by a scanner and displaying the operation screen with the manuscript language as the display language.SOLUTION: The display language on the operation screen is defined to be a first language and a predetermined language other than the display language is defined to be a second language. When the language of a manuscript obtained by pre-scan is determined to be the second language (for example, Serbian language), a language selection screen 5a is displayed. The language selection screen 5a is a screen for prompting to select a language by using a language (for example, Russian) having preset relationship (close relation) with the second language among a plurality of first languages. When the user operates the language selection screen 5a to instruct to select a language having preset relationship with the second language, an operation screen with the language as the display language (for example, Russian) is displayed on a display unit. |
