The invention provides an in vitro method for delivering an RNA to a target cell comprising the steps of: delivering an RNA to or expressing an RNA in a first cell other than the target cell; isolating an exovesicle from the first cell, wherein the exovesicle contains the RNA; and contacting the target cell with the exovesicle. The invention also provides RNA molecules for use according to methods of the invention whereby an exovesicle made as a result of this method is administered to a target cell in an animal. |
