PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which enables stable formation of ingot of high-carbon steel, with uniformity of components and without troubles related to refining or tapping of molten steel, by charging a ferro-alloy effectively in forming ingot of high-carbon steel by charging a carburization material.SOLUTION: A method of forming ingot of high-carbon steel comprises adding a part of a deoxidation material, together with a carburization material, in the first half of tapping of molten steel and adding the remaining deoxidation material of a scheduled addition amount in the latter half of tapping of molten steel, in forming ingot of high-carbon steel by adding a carburization material at the time of tapping of molten steel from a steel converter, so as to adjust the composition of components on tapping of molten steel. |
