PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly manufacturable cell stack for a redox flow battery (RF battery) and a method of manufacturing a cell stack for an RF battery.SOLUTION: A cell stack 1 for an RF battery comprises: a cell group (multiple sub cell stacks 200) comprising a plurality of stacked cell elements; a set of plate members (unit 10, presser plate 20) arranged with the cell group in between; and a plurality of coupling rods 30 coupling the set of plate members to hold the cell group stacked. The unit 10 includes a pair of presser plates 11, 12, and at least one resilient member 14 interposed between the presser plates 11, 12 and unpenetrated by the coupling rods. The cell stack 1 uses fewer resilient members 14 and coupling rods 30 than a structure with coil springs arranged around a plurality of rods coupling a pair of endplates, respectively, to implement higher manufacturability. |
