PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: in the conventional information processing systems, it takes time to improve the accuracy for estimating an available band.SOLUTION: An information processing system comprises: a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter includes estimation packet transmission means which transmits a plurality of estimation packets in a predetermined packet size to the receiver which is connected via a network, at a predetermined transmission interval. The receiver comprises: estimation packet reception means for receiving the transmitted estimation packets; packet information acquisition means for acquiring receiving time and the packet size of the received estimation packets; starting-to-delay packet detection means for detecting a starting-to-delay packet which is one of the plurality of estimation packets received and starts to change a reception interval between two successively transmitted estimation packets, on the basis of receiving time of the first and last estimation packets among the plurality of estimation packets received; and band calculation means for calculating a band of the network by using a packet size of the starting-to-delay packet detected by the starting-to-delay packet detection means. |
