PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch energization methods at a timing which is hardly affected by a load torque when switching energization methods.SOLUTION: The motor control device has: a power conversion circuit which converts DC power into AC power; a controller which outputs a drive signal which drives the power conversion circuit; an electric motor driven by the power conversion circuit; and a load connected to the electric motor. The motor control device switches energization methods of the power conversion circuit between a 120-degree energization method and a 180-degree energization method, detects electric current on the DC side or AC side of the power conversion circuit, and switches the energization methods during a period from the time when the electric current exceeds a predetermined peak value to the time when the electric current rises again. |
