The invention relates to a magnetic material (3) with improved mechanical properties, a permanent magnet (5), an electric motor (6) or a magnetic bearing (7) comprising said magnetic material (3), and a method for producing a permanent magnet (5) from this magnetic material (3). The magnetic material (3) comprises one or more rare earth metals (RE) and one or more transition metals (TM) or transition metal alloys (TML) for producing a permanent magnetic field, as well as a proportion of at least one nano material (2), preferably nanotubes (2), for improving the mechanical properties of said magnetic material (3). The magnetic material (3) used allows the permanent magnet (5) produced therefrom to be operated at very high rotational speeds in the electric motor (6) or the magnetic bearing (7), and nevertheless withstand the extreme loads that occur here without being damaged. |
