An operating floor confinement 40 has: an operating floor, a sidewall 42 that surrounds the operating floor, a ceiling 43 that is provided on an upper portion of the sidewall, a reactor well 11, a fuel pool 20, a dryer and separator pit 30, an equipment hatch 44 that is provided on the sidewall 42, an air lock 45 that is provided on the sidewall, and an isolation valve 47, 48 that is provided in a penetration 46 of the sidewall; the operating floor confinement forms a pressure boundary having pressure resistance and a leakage protection function, is in contact with a containment vessel 3 via a containment vessel head 9 and separated from an equipment area 105 of the reactor building 100, and has no blowout panel. Alternatively the pressure resistance of the operating floor confinement is equal or greater than the pressure resistance of the containment vessel. In one embodiment an external venting system 80 (Figure 4) is included in contact with the outside. In one embodiment a filtered venting tank 51 (Figure 4) is included. |
