PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film alternative to a glass plate, the film being excellent in impact resistance and weight lightness compared to a glass plate, having sufficient damage prevention properties, whitening resistance and yellowing resistance, and being excellent in alternative properties to the glass plate.SOLUTION: In one embodiment, the film alternative to a glass plate is provided which comprises a substrate layer, and one or a plurality of surface layers laminated one side or both sides of the substrate layer, and in which the substrate layer contains, as a main component, polycarbonate having a constitutional unit derived from a dihydroxy compound represented by formula (1), the dihydroxy compound being a substance extracted from the plant or a substance derived from the substance. In another embodiment, the film alternative to a glass plate is provided which is identical to the film alternative to a glass plate in the one embodiment except that one or more surface layers of the one or a plurality of surface layers are ultraviolet-curable epoxy resins which contain an active energy ray-curable resin as a main component or one or more surface layers of the one or the plurality of surface layers contain glass as a main component.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
