Disclosed are a crystal oscillator and a manufacturing method thereof, which enable a lead cover to be combined precisely. The manufacturing method of the crystal oscillator of the present invention comprises: a step of having a lead cover, formed with a metal material, and a metal junction part and arranging a package structure forming an internal space with the lead cover; a step of combining a crystal piece with the inside of the package structure; a step of arranging the lead cover so that the outer circumference of the lead cover is in contact with the metal junction part; a step of primarily connecting the metal junction part with the outer circumference of the lead cover by applying ultrasonic waves to the lead cover and the metal junction part; and a step of secondarily connecting the outer circumference of the lead cover with the metal junction part by radiating a laser to a part being connected in the primary connection step or to a surrounding area thereof.
