PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of drying iron production auxiliary material by irradiating the material with microwave in a microwave drying furnace, the method enabling the iron production auxiliary material to be quickly dried with high drying efficiency and at low cost without requiring increase in microwave output or use of hot air blasting together with the microwave irradiation.SOLUTION: The method of drying iron production auxiliary material by irradiating the material with microwave in a microwave drying furnace is provided in which furnace atmosphere is ventilated, during irradiation of the microwave, by blasting ordinary temperature air with a fan into the furnace or suction of the furnace atmosphere. Water vapor partial pressure in the furnace is suppressed low by the ventilation of the furnace atmosphere, so that high drying efficiency is obtained with low microwave output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
