An image processing apparatus includes an image processing unit, a text information accepting unit, a stamp processing unit, and an image data editing unit. The image processing unit reads image data on an original document. The text information accepting unit accepts an input of text information from a user after reading the image data. The stamp processing unit creates a stamp image corresponding to the input text information, the stamp processing unit performing an optical character recognition process on the created stamp image to convert text information of the stamp image into text data where a character string is able to be searched. The stamp processing unit adds the stamp image to the image data. The image data editing unit edits a plurality of items of image data including the image data where the stamp image is added as an item of image data. |
