The invention relates to a monolithic pad (2) intended to be used in the formation of a running surface of an anti-skid device for a motor vehicle tyre. The pad comprises at least one rigid insert, said insert having: a longitudinal direction intended to be oriented along the width of the tyre of a vehicle wheel, and means for solidly connecting to elements joining the pads to one another, such as to form the running surface of the anti-skid device. The pad also comprises a casing (3) made from a polymer material, inside which said at least one rigid insert is at least partially embedded.
