PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephoto lens achieving reduction in the diameter of an optical system and satisfactorily suppressing the generation of various aberrations, and an imaging apparatus including the same.SOLUTION: A telephoto lens comprises, in order from an object side to an image side: a first lens group G1 with positive refractive power; a second lens group G2 with negative refractive power; and a rear lens group GR with positive refractive power. The first lens group G1 includes, in order from the object side to the image side, a first sub-lens unit SU1 and a second sub-lens unit SU2. The following conditional expression (1) is satisfied: 0.4<d/d<0.8(1), where dis a distance on an optical axis from an object-side surface of a lens of the first sub-lens unit SU1 positioned closest to the object side to an object-side surface of a lens L1 of the second sub-lens unit SU2 positioned closest to the object side and dis a distance on the optical axis from an object-side surface of a lens L1 of the first lens group G1 positioned closest to the object side to an image side surface of a lens L17 of the first lens group G1 positioned closest to the image side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
