INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS AND INKJET PRINTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To print a fabric in such a manner that an ink does not remain on a pile surface but reaches a base fabric at the bottom of the pile.SOLUTION: An inkjet printing apparatus (10) includes an inkjet head (11) that discharges ink droplets to print, mounting means (20), and sucking means (30). The mounting means (20) has a flow passage (21) to circulate a gas between a mounting surface regarded as one side where a recording medium is mounted and a surface on the other side as a backside of the mounting surface. The sucking means (30) sucks air from the mounting surface to the other surface as the backside through the flow passage (21). A recording medium (60) has a great number of acicular projections (62) on a surface thereof. A suction force by the sucking means (30) is set to such a degree that ink droplets discharged from the inkjet head (11) and landing on a top end of the acicular projection (62) can be introduced to the bottom of the acicular projection (62).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
