PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the accumulation of a deposit at a depth side of a glow hole, in a compression ignition type internal combustion engine having a glow-plug integrated in-cylinder pressure sensor.SOLUTION: A recess 34 recessed to the inside of a cylinder head 16 rather than an internal peripheral face 32a of a glow hole 32 is formed at a portion surrounding a heater rod 28 at an inlet side of the glow hole 32. The recess 34 is formed of a wall face (first wall face) 34a which extends to a horizontal direction with respect to an axial line direction of the heater rod 28, and a wall face (second wall face) 34b which extends to a direction parallel with the axial line direction. Here, a corner (first corner) 36 being a cross point between the internal peripheral face 32a and the wall face 34a, and a corner (second corner) 38 being a cross point between the wall face 34a and the wall face 34b are located in a region illustrated in Fig. 2, that is, in a temperature region in which a temperature rises to a temperature not lower than a temperature which decomposes an oxide of HC constituting the deposit during glow energization.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
