The invention provides a liquid crystal aligning agent, a liquid crystal aligning film, a liquid crystal display element and a method of making the liquid crystal display element. The liquid crystal aligning agent can endow a coating film with desired pre-inclination characteristics with relatively low light exposure and further acquire a liquid crystal display element with excellent heat resistance. The liquid crystal aligning agent comprises a compound (E) having an epoxy group and polymerism unsaturated bonds with a molecular weight below 2000; and a compound (D) having more than two polymerism unsaturated bonds. Compounds having the compound (E) are excluded. |
