PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas from an internal-combustion engine which has excellent OSC over a wide temperature range from low temperature to high temperature in an initial phase of starting operation.SOLUTION: There is provided a carrier for catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas from an internal-combustion engine in which CeOis carried on the surface of a core material made of solid solution of CeO-ZrOor a core material made of solid solution of CeO-ZrO-LaO. An amount of CeOin the core material is 5 to 35 mass% of the mass of the carrier, an amount of LaOin the core material is 0 to 10 mass% of the mass of the carrier, and an amount of CeOcarried on the surface of the core material is 5 to 17 mass% of the mass of the carrier. |
