PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified cellulose derivative which is easily handled in a production step, and has high compatibility with an organic solvent and other resins, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The method for producing modified cellulose is provided in which a compound having a structure represented by general formula (1) is reacted with a compound selected from aromatic isocyanate, aromatic isothiocyanate, aromatic carboxylic acid anhydride and aromatic carboxylic chloride, thereby a modified cellulose derivative is produced, a purification solvent contains alcohol in the range of 3 to 5 carbon atoms. In general formula (1), R, Rand Rare each independently hydrogen, alkyl, and the like; L, Land Lare each independently a single bond, ether, carbonyl, and the like; and p0 is an integer having average degree of polymerization of 10-2,000.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
