The present invention relates to a stretchable strain sensor and a method of sensing a vital signal using the same and, more specifically, relates to a stretchable strain sensor which has a knitted textile structure having conductive yarns; and a method of sensing a vital signal using the same. As such, the stretchable strain sensor, in accordance with the present invention, senses a vital signal according to a stretching of a knitted textile and change of electrical properties.
