PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten Al-Zn-based plated sheet steel having excellent corrosion resistance of a planar part, and excellent also in corrosion resistance of a processing part by excellent processability; and to provide a method capable of producing the molten Al-Zn-based plated sheet steel by continuous hot-dip plating equipment.SOLUTION: A plating film comprises an interfacial alloy layer and an upper layer. The upper layer contains 20-95 mass% Al, Si of 10% or less of the Al content, and at least one kind between Ca and Mg, and has a composition in which the total content of Ca and Mg is 0.01-10 mass%, and the residue comprises Zn and inevitable impurities and the Vickers hardness of the plating film is 50-100 Hv on the average.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
