PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault diagnosis apparatus for a vehicular generator in which, even when control for delaying power generation is performed, an accurate fault determination can be performed.SOLUTION: A fault analysis apparatus for a vehicular generator comprises: an internal combustion engine applied to a vehicle; an engine stop control device for stopping the internal combustion engine in accordance with a predetermined condition and resuming the internal combustion engine in response to occupant operation; a generator for generating power with power of the internal combustion engine; a power generation control section for regulating an exciting current for controlling the power generation amount of the generator; a fault diagnosis processing section for diagnosing a fault of the generator; and a diagnosis invalidation processing section for invalidating the diagnosis in the fault diagnosis processing section for a predetermined period including a period from starting resuming the internal combustion engine until at least the exciting current exceeds a preset value. |
