PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a glass substrate that can process an end face of the glass substrate precisely in a small space.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a glass substrate includes a position information acquisition process, a processing position calculation process, and an end face processing process. In the position information acquisition process, position information on an end face 11 of the fixed glass substrate 10 is acquired. In the processing position calculation process, a processing start position and a processing end position of a beveling grindstone 40 for beveling the end face 11 are calculated. The beveling grindstone 40 can move along an X axis and a Y axis. In the position information acquisition process, position information on the end face 11 is acquired by a first sensor 50 and a second sensor 60. The first sensor 50 can move together with the beveling grindstone 40. The second sensor 60 can move along the Y axis. In the processing position calculation process, a processing correction value D as a distance needed to move the beveling grindstone 40 up to the processing start position along the Y axis is calculated. |
