It is an object of the present invention to provide an electric wire twisting device that makes it possible to twist a set of electric wires in good condition and that reduces the number of parts in comparison with conventional devices. The electric wire twisting device according to the present invention includes: a first rotary clamp simultaneously holding one end portion of a first electric wire and one end portion of a second electric wire: a second rotary clamp simultaneously holding another end portion of the first electric wire and another end portion of the second electric wire; a first rotary actuator rotating the first rotary clamp; a second rotary actuator rotating the second rotary clamp in an opposite direction to a direction of rotation of the first rotary clamp; and a motor driving the first rotary clamp in a direction toward the second rotary clamp and in a direction away from the second rotary clamp. The motor is configured to perform position control and torque control. The electric wire twisting device includes a controller causing the motor to perform the torque control such that a tension to the first electric wire and the second electric wire becomes constant when the first rotary clamp and the second rotary clamp rotate while holding the first electric wire and the second electric wire.
