PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method of hoisting many flexible containers simultaneously without requiring an operator to approach.SOLUTION: A hoisting device is structured of a hanging frame with a plurality of hanging members suspended, and slinging tools 3 attached on lower ends of the hanging members. An interval between the adjacent hanging members is equal to a flat surface width of the flexible container to be hoisted or larger than the flat surface width of the flexible container 4. The slinging tool 3 is a member with an engagement space 32 formed, and includes an electromagnet 33 which attracts a metal plate 42 attached on a hanger 41 of the flexible container 4 and tows the metal plate to the engagement space 32, and an engagement rod 31 which crosses the engagement space 32 and slides.
