PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously execute a surface treatment, with a treatment gas, of either of front and rear surfaces of a tabular glass while virtually preventing a surface treatment, with the treatment gas, of the other of the front and rear surfaces thereof.SOLUTION: A tabular glass surface treatment apparatus 10 of the present invention is furnished with: a gap 12 through which a tabular glass P can be transmitted; gap-forming surfaces 13 and 14 on both sides forming the gap 12; not only a treatment gas feeding unit 17 capable of feeding, into the gap 12, a treatment gas Ga for surface-treating either surface Pb of front and rear surfaces of the tabular glass P but also a treatment gas discharging unit 18 capable of discharging the treatment gas Ga fed into the gap 12 in a state where both units are being configured on the side of one gap-forming surface 13; and an outer air suctioning means 19 configured on the side of the other gap-forming surface 14 and capable of suctioning, based on the discharge of the gas through the gap 12, outer air Gb into a space formed between the tabular glass P introduced into the gap 12 and the "other" gap-forming surface 14 (second divided space 22). |
