PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for conducting a hydrogenation reaction to non-substituted or substituted vinyl ether at atmospheric pressure and a compound having reduced content of an alkenyl ether compound obtained by the method.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for conducting a hydrogenation reaction to a non-substituted or substituted alkenyl ether compound including (i) a process for preparing a non-substituted or substituted alkenyl ether compound or a mixture containing the compound, (ii) a process for conducting the hydrogenation reaction at atmospheric pressure by adding (A) metal catalyst of 1 ppm or more by mass ratio in terms of content of metal, (B) tertiary alkyl amine compound of more than 0 mol equivalent and less than 2 mol equivalent and (C) formic acid or formate of the amount providing pH 7 or more of a reaction mixture to the on-substituted or substituted alkenyl ether compound. |
