PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a liquid crystal alignment layer having good adhesiveness to a substrate.SOLUTION: A polymer (A) having a photo-aligning group, which is at least one compound selected from a group consisting of (meth)acrylic polymers and polyorganosiloxane, and a silane compound (B) having at least one functional group selected from a group consisting of a (meth)acryloxy group, vinyl group, isocyanate group, amino group, thiol group and epoxy group, are incorporated into a liquid crystal aligning agent. The content of the silane compound (B) is preferably 10 to 300 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the polymer (A). |
