PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a location estimation apparatus and method capable of estimating the position of a causal load.SOLUTION: A position estimation apparatus comprises: a first computation device that calculates a reversed phase voltage value at a first location as a first reversed phase voltage value on the basis of a voltage value at the first location upstream of first and second loads connected to any two phases of three phases in a section between the first section and a second section of three-phase electricity distribution line; a second computation device that calculates a reversed phase voltage value at the first location as a second reversed phase voltage value on the basis of a first reversed phase current value at the first location, a second reversed phase current value at the second location downstream of the first and second loads, and a value of line impedance of the three-phase electricity distribution line in the section between the first and second locations; and an estimation device that estimates a location of a causal load which is causing a voltage imbalance in the three-phase electricity distribution line on the basis of the first and second reversed phase voltage values. |
