An assembly is provided for a turbine engine with an axial centerline. This turbine engine assembly includes a blade outer air seal segment 64, a linkage 68, a rocker arm 66 and an actuation device 70. The linkage 68 is attached to the blade outer air seal segment 64. The rocker arm 66 includes a first arm 80 and a second arm 82 engaged with the linkage 68. The actuation device 64 is engaged with the first arm 80. The actuation device 64 is configured to pivot the rocker arm 66 and thereby radially move the blade outer air seal segment 64.
