In the present invention, the clarification and homogenization of molten glass are performed effectively in the case of high-temperature melting. The present invention is provided with: a glass melting furnace (11) that is provided with a bottom wall (12) and a side wall (13) and to which a molten glass outlet (15) is formed at the bottom wall (12); and a heating electrode (14) that is inserted into the glass melting furnace (11) and that heats the molten glass in the glass melting furnace (11) by means of electrification. In the glass melting furnace (11) are provided: an upper partition plate (16) that allows the passage of molten glass only from the furnace inner bottom of the glass melting furnace (11); and a thin-film-forming member (25) that is disposed between the upper partition plate (16) and the outlet (15), holds back the molten glass, forms a passage with the upper partition plate (16) through which molten glass flows from below to above, and to which a thin-film-forming surface (25b) is formed that that causes the molten glass that spills over to drop down, forming a thin film shape. |
