PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine that accurately and effectively jets oil to a coil end and also jets compressed air into the oil to supply air bubbles to a gap part between a rotor and a stator.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine comprises: a stator 3 consisting of a stator core 4 fixed to a housing 2 and having a coil end 8 projecting on an end face; and a rotor 5 having a rotor core 6 formed by stacking core sheets along a rotary shaft and pivoted on the housing 2 to be rotatable opposite an inner hole face of the stator 3 with an equal gap left and a pair of rotor-side plates 7 holding both end faces of the rotor core 6 therebetween. One or both of the rotor-side plates 7 comprise oil reservoirs 9a-9i having, at respective ends, scooping-up openings for scooping oil up through rotation of the rotor 5 and discharge openings for discharging the scooped-up oil together with air compressed in an internal space, and the housing 2 reserves the oil such that at least the scooping-up openings and discharge openings are dipped at a bottom position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
