An internet protocol television (IPTV) service check method comprises: transmitting, by a terminal and to a server, an IPTV service request message; receiving, by the terminal and from the server, a response message of the IPTV service request message; checking, by the terminal and according to the response message, an IPTV service so as to obtain a check result; and transmitting, by the terminal and to the server, the check result. The method resolves an issue on how to check a broadband access terminal in the related art, thereby realizing, via a remote control, a broadband access terminal check, and saving manpower and resources. |
