The invention relates to a trailer that is intended to be coupled to a towing vehicle. The trailer comprises a chassis (9) resting on at least one axle (5) and a front dolly (10) equipped with a jockey wheel (9). The dolly (10) is connected to the chassis (9) by connecting means that are shaped to: allow the pivoting movement of the chassis (9) in relation to the dolly (10) about a vertical axis (Zo), with a given maximum range, when the dolly (10) is moved forwards by the towing vehicle (1); and prevent the relative pivoting movement of the chassis (9) in relation to the dolly (10) about a vertical axis when the dolly (10) is moved backwards by the towing vehicle (1) when reversing.
