PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic solution giving an electrolytic membrane and an electrode catalyst layer high in dispersibility of a polymer electrolyte and high in hot water dissolution resistance.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing an electrolytic solution comprising: a feed step where an emulsion including a polymer electrolyte and a solvent is continuously fed to the inside of dissolution equipment; and a dissolution step where the inside of the dissolution equipment is heated, and the polymer electrolyte is continuously dissolved into the solvent to obtain an electrolytic solution.SELECTED DRAWING: None
