PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an excessive increase in temperature of a temperature-sensitive magnetic member compared with a case where only blocking parts extending in the direction of movement of a fixing member are formed in the temperature-sensitive magnetic member.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a fixing belt that can perform circulation movement and has a conductive layer heated by electromagnetic induction to fix a toner onto a sheet; an exciting coil that generated an AC magnetic field intersecting with the conductive layer of the fixing belt; and a temperature-sensitive magnetic member 64 that includes a plurality of first slits 641 that face the exciting coil across the fixing belt, are inclined with respect to the direction of movement of the fixing belt, and block an eddy current from the AC magnetic field generated by the exciting coil, and a plurality of second slits 642 that are inclined to the opposite side of the first slits 641 with respect to the direction of movement and block the eddy current from the AC magnetic field, and has a magnetic characteristic changing between ferromagnetism and paramagnetism according to temperature and transmits the AC magnetic field when the magnetic characteristic is ferromagnetism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
