PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide oncolytic rhabdoviruses as anticancer therapeutics and use methods thereof.SOLUTION: Provided herein is an oncolytic rhabdovirus comprising a G protein or an M protein or both, where the G protein is at least 80% identical to a specified amino acid sequence and has arginine at position 242, and the M protein is at least 80% identical to a specified amino acid sequence and has tryptophan at position 242. Also provided is an anti-cancer therapy comprising administering to a patient an oncolytic rhabdovirus having a tumor cell-killing property in vivo and in vitro. In certain embodiments, administration is intraperitoneal, intravenous, intravascular, intramuscular, endothelial, intratumoral, subcutaneous, or intranasal administration, and the method comprises a second anti-cancer therapy, where the second oncolytic virus is vaccinia virus, herpes virus, measles virus, New Castle disease virus, adenovirus, alphavirus, parvovirus or rhabdovirus.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
