Disclosed are a short message processing method and apparatus, and an electronic device, which fall within the technical field of information. The method comprises: receiving a new short message; extracting identification information about the short message, wherein the identification information is information about a number sending the short message and/or a content keyword; according to the identification information, determining a processing method corresponding to the identification information from a pre-stored correlation between identification information groups and processing methods, wherein each identification information group comprises at least one piece of identification information; and according to the determined processing method, processing the short message. In the present invention, when a short message is received, identification information about the short message is extracted, so that different processing methods are used to process short messages having different identification information, thereby optimizing the processing method of the short message, preventing a spam short message from occupying storage space and improving the performance of a mobile terminal. |
