A host-vehicle-mounted road surface display device for displaying an image of a road surface is provided with: a road surface image control unit (S125) for generating road surface images in which images are disposed at each of a plurality of expected arrival times, the images showing an expected arrival range in which the host vehicle is predicted to arrive when a prescribed expected arrival time has elapsed, and displaying the road surface images on the road surface ahead in the direction of forward movement of the host vehicle; a detection unit (S135) for acquiring the display state on the road surface of an other-vehicle image, which shows the road-surface image displayed on the road surface by another vehicle in which the road-surface display device is mounted, and the host-vehicle image, which shows the road-surface image displayed on the road surface by the host vehicle, and detecting whether the other-vehicle image and the host-vehicle image are overlapping or in proximity on the basis of the display states; and a display adjustment unit (S155, S165) that, when the images are detected to be overlapping or in proximity, adjusts the image output so that the road-surface image showing which of the other-vehicle image and the host-vehicle image has the earlier expected arrival time is displayed in the region where the overlap or proximity on the road surface was detected. |
