Provided is an internal-combustion engine starting device, wherein a control unit can carry out, on an electric motor, control for implementing: first starting modes (Fi1, Se1, Th1, Fr1, Fi4, Se4) in which the internal-combustion engine is started by increasing, via the electric motor, the rotation speed of the internal-combustion engine to a predetermined first rotation speed; and second starting modes (Se2, Th2, Fr2) in which the internal-combustion engine is started by increasing, via the electric motor, the rotation speed of the internal-combustion engine to a second rotation speed that is higher than the first rotation speed. When a first operation mode is selected by a selection unit, the control unit carries out, on the electric motor, control for prohibiting the second starting modes (Se2, Th2, Fr2). |
