The invention relates to a fire safety system comprising: a first fire detection element (1) connected by means of a flexible bridge (3) to a second fire detection element (2), said first fire detection element (1) including first lighting means (4), and said second fire detection element (2) also including lighting means (5), said lighting means taking the form of different coloured LEDs, thereby forming a detection system that requires no installation, that is suitable for deaf people, and that provides information relating to evacuation routes. The system has been designed to be mounted on the upper edge of doors or access elements.
