The invention relates to a hybrid material that is an electrical conductor, is able to self-repair, is resistant to mechanical deformation, thermal ablation, corrosion and oxidation, and which shows improved tenacity and impact resistance. The invention also relates to a coating comprising the hybrid material and a suitable substrate that adheres well to the material. The present invention further relates to a method for producing the hybrid material and system of coating using thermal projection techniques. Lastly, the present invention relates to the use of the hybrid material or of the coating system as a component or part of a component of protection systems which is used in aeronautical, aerospace and nuclear plant applications, as well as to the use of the hybrid material or the coating as a joining interface in electronic and energy systems. |
