The present invention discloses an object recognizing method and an object recognizing device. The object recognizing method according to the invention is used for recognizing an object with a specific color distribution characteristic and a specific contour characteristic. The method includes the steps of: extracting a contour in an input image according to the color distribution characteristic thereof; determining a scan window using the extracted contour according to the contour characteristic and the color distribution characteristic; and classifying a part of the image corresponding to the determined scan window and determining whether the part of the image contains the object. |
