PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wrap a film around a roll bale by a designated state, even when something abnormal occurs in rotation detecting means for detecting relative rotation state between a roll bale and the film.SOLUTION: A wrapping machine 1 causes rotation means 31 to revolve a roll bale 90 about a longitudinal axis, while causing a bale support base 4 to autorotate the roll bale, and feeds a film from a film unit 5 to wrap around the roll bale. The wrapping machine includes: a magnetic sensor (first rotation detecting means 7a) for detecting a rotating speed of a rotating bale support base 4; and second rotation detecting means 83 for detecting a rotation time of the bale support base 4 which is rotated by the rotation means 31. When the number of windings is designated by an operation panel 81, the wrapping machine multiplies a prestored unit time required for one winding of the film by the number of windings and, when something abnormal occurs in the first rotation detecting means 7a, causes the second rotation detection means 83 to detect the rotation state and wraps the film therearound by the designated number of windings. |
